Mediterranean Sailing (1 reply)
Sailing in the Med just has to be one of the best places in the world. With a wide variety of yachts to choose from, and some fantastic destinations to sail from and to, give me the Med every time. One of the least discovered areas, certainly for the Brits, is Eastern Spain and in particular, Denia. This little secret of a place is almost unheard of in the UK. Brits like sailing in Croatia and Greece, but these places, whilst picturesque, don't compare with the delights of Denia and the nearby Balearic Islands. Formentera and Ibiza are around 10 hours away (sailing), much less if you have a power boat which can average more than 5 knots. There are literally hundreds of stunning calas (bays) to pull up in, and enjoy. Take a look at http://www.deniayachtcharters.com for more details on yacht charter and some of the destinations. Take a holiday with a difference, and don't worry if you can't sail. Skippers can be provided!
I will add some more to this in due course, but anyone else had any experience here?
